We are looking for part-time staff for our wine shop. Applicants must have excellent customer service skills, flexibility, reliability and interest in learning about wine. This job is ideal for someone who enjoys interaction with customers, is hospitality and people focused, and must be reliable and dependable.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Greeting and interacting with customers upon arrival

• Provide world class customer service to site visitors

• Educating customers about our wines and merchandise

• Sell bottles and merchandise to customers

• Assist with private events and various site activities

• Set-up and host wine tasting

• Serving wine to customer

• Keep a clean work environment performing all cleaning and sanitizing practices throughout the tasting room, bathrooms, retail and common areas

• Wine shop daily operations including (but not limited to) restocking, inventory, wine packing, floor merchandise upkeep, cleaning glassware or dishes, cleaning customer areas and removing trash

• Follow site policies and procedures

• Complete projects and other duties as directed by management

Requirements:

• Applicants must be 21 years of age

• This position must work weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), some holidays and evenings

• Committed to providing excellent customer service

• Ensure all customers meet age requirements to taste and/or purchase alcohol

• You are a creative, energetic fun and honest individual

• Possess a basic understanding of wine

• You must have a clean and professional appearance, and you excel at teamwork and interactions

• Comply with all required cash drawer and cash handling procedures

• Able to take and follow direction

• Able to stand for long periods

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Must be detail-oriented

• Must be able to lift 50lbs (a case of wine)

Experience:

• Tasting Room: 1 year (Preferred)

• Serving: 1 year (Preferred)

• You should have some experience in retail sales or a similar hospitality setting

• Schedule: Must be able to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 10:30am-6:30pm

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14 - $15 per hour
